First trial deployment

The AIR system is successfully being under trial by the Slovenian ISP AMIS with 200 satisfied test customers
- AMIS is the largest alternative ISP in Slovenia with a market share of 10%
- AMIS decided to roll-out an AIR test network in Maribor
- the current trial network consists of one main station and one base station, covering 65% of the Maribor population of 250,000 citizens
- the network uses very difficult frequency combinations, i.e. 17 GHz uplink and 5.4 GHz downlink spectrum
- 200 customers participate in the trial
- AMIS is continually recording the user experience and is receiving positive feedback:
- No complaints about the IP or TV quality
- 700 additional persons requested to join the trial program based on word-of-mouth
- AMIS plans to extend the network infrastructure and to launch full AIR Triple Play in 2007, AMIS expects to serve over 20,000 subscribers within the first year of operations
